ABOUT US
......
The Utah Alternative High Schools (AHSs) College Readiness Partnership is a collaboration between Utah State University and AHSs in Utah to 1)increase the number of underrepresented juniors and seniors who achieve ACT college-readiness benchmarks, 2)read more proficiently, 3)apply for college, and 4)complete the Federal Application of Student Aid (FAFSA). The program will provide students with instruction in ACT test-taking strategies and content area reading strategies, FAFSA and college application help, and a college tour. An AHS State Leadership Team aims to improve AHS students’ college readiness by recommending effective strategies to prepare for and enroll in college, and developing an effective model for AHSs to implement for program sustainability.
